In chapter four Hazel finishes her book. She also goes over to Agustus water house and Isaac is there too.Her mom and her also goes to the movies together. I like there relationship. It seems like she can tell her mother annything. They have a cute , tight bond. She also goes to the mall with Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn does not seem like the best friend for Hazel Grace she is too aware of what she says and it seems like she treats Hazel like she has cancer , but she should treat her like she does not have cancer . Over Agustus house Isaac and Agustus is playing video games. Isaac is dpressed and , Agustus tries to help and tells Isaac to break some trophies . My favorite line is when Agustus says ,"Yes...Get is". I like how Aguistus encourages issac to get his anger out and possibly releave a little stress. I am curuious about Isaac and why he does not welcome Hazel Grace. Did all of them meet in the support group of did they already know each other. Agustus is really nice. He is clear of cancer yet he still trys to help out Isaac and Hazel Grace and he could be done dealing with cancer and people with cancer all in all

  2. A quote I like is" Anna is about to start this crazy new treatment regimen involving wheatgrass and low arsenic. The book end right in a middle of a ". I like this quote, because this shows life can end at anytime. You can be anywhere, or place, you just don't know. Hazel make sure, what she do, do not make her die any faster. Hazel do not wear heels, catch the elevator, or eat meat. Life is short, and you never know when its your time, to go. You have to make the best if your life, even during hard times, to know that you have no regrets when time on earth is over. Another quote I like is" Dude pillows don't break. Try something that break. Isaac reached for a baseball trophy' . I like this quote, because when I get extremely upset, I punch thing, but would not break a trophy. I would break something that's worthless to me. I really do not get extremely upset, but when I do, its rare

Quote-“The Book stops in a middle of a.”

The reason I like this quote because she did not want to hurt Augustus feeling when he got finish reading the book that Hazel gave to him. The reason the why I think she ripe the last pages out the book because she doesn’t want anyone to think about death and you have a disease that can’t be curable and you start to be depress and they that can be me. And I think that Hazel ripped the pages out on purpose because she want everyone to be surprise because they want to know what happen at the end of the novel that her friends are reading. Another reason why she did that because she wants everyone to be happy in their life people are going to face challenges and hardship of all kind but you to survive and fight through those conflicts and be better man or woman to survive anywhere in the world. Therefore, Hazel did a good thing by ripping the last few pages out the book I think the reason why she did because I think Augustus has the same disease that the person has in the novel and that is why Hazel ripped the last few pages out the book.

  4. I think a little time with someone is better than no time with someone because I would rather spend time with someone to start up a friendship than just being alone and not having no one to talk to and just being alone. For example in the story we read called Of Mice and Menthe character Crooks said "a man could go insane if he does not have any one to talk to" that is why I think it is better to spend a little time with someone than spending no time with anyone.

Also I think other people may feel the same way about the question because I think they would rather spend some time with someone rather than spend time with no one. This question relates to Lennie and Crooks in the story Of Mice and Men because Crooks did not want Lennie to come in his room but he soon realize it would be better to talk to Lennie than not talk to anyone.

To close that is why I think it is better to spend a little time with someone than just being alone because just like in Of Mice and Men when Crooks says a man can go crazy if they do not have any one to talk to I think that can relate to real life.

“That’s what love is. Love is keeping the promise anyway. Don’t you believe in true love?” before I began I want to answer this question with a yes. True love is something that can be found but the search will be hard and the love may not last forever. It is for my God mommy and my God daddy. They have been married for almost two decades. They still argue but they love each other no matter what. We need this type of love in the world today.
I truly feel sorry for Isaac because with all the stuff he’s going through he doesn’t need anything extra. The fact that he cares more about losing Monica than going blind clearly suggests that he really cared about her. I really find it funny how someone can bring so much love and light and happiness into your life and then when they have had enough of you they go away and take all the love and happiness away. This is probably why a lot of people don’t trust love because when it gets taken away it leaves a pain that is hard to get rid of.
If I were Isaac, to keep form feeling the pain I would just never love again. Stories like this really make me want to not love anyone when I get older. I’ve seen so many movies about love and heart break that it scares me to love anyone when I get older. I hope Isaac gets over Monica and finds someone who really cares and loves him for who he really is

The quote that stands out to me best is stated "Sometimes people don't understand the promises they're making when they make them. Right of course. But you keep the promise anyway." This quote stood out to me because what Issac was stating is true in my opinion. If someone makes a promise knowing they can't keep it, then why make a promise. It may hurt the person or people you made the promise with since promises are taken seriously. If someone make a promise and don't understand the promises they're making, still that person shouldn't make the promise if it's not going to be kept. I understand how Issac felt about Monica not keeping her promise. I would've been upset too if someone made a promise with me and just breaks it because of something that came to their mind about that promise. But I also understand Monica because maybe the reason she couldn't keep that promise because she maybe didn't want to deal with Issac illness. Issac illness probably would've made her depressed because she knows he's depress with having that illness. Also Monica may not have kept the promise because of family problems or another situation she probably was dealing with. In my life experience I made a promise with a friend I couldn't keep. I couldn't keep the promise because situations I was dealing with. She was mad I me but I couldn't blame her for being mad. I would've been mad too if I was her. But then she realized that there were reasons to why I couldn't keep my promise. So she forgave me for not keeping that promise.

  7. My favorite quote from chapter 4 is "He reached into his pocket, pulled out a cigarette, and shoved it between his teeth "saved the kids:, he said. This is my favorite quote because it is telling how he cared about the kids more than his own life, so he killed himself in the game just to save the kids. this quote was cute and nice to me because if you are willing to give up your life to protect others then you should be congratulated and thanked. Although this action was just in a gam, it reveals more facts about Augustus character that makes the reader like him even more. Augustus knows that his life is sadly coming to an end so he just decides to make other peoples life better. Augustus character can be described as caring because he cares about everyone and their feelings. His character reminds me of my mother because she cares about everyone and she helps everyone when they need help. She is a caring person and makes sure that people are ok before she checks up on herself. This is nice because it shows how much you care about not only yourself but other people. A tone that can describe this action is selfless because they take care of others before they take the need of their self in their own hands.

A quote that stood out to me was "Sometimes people don't understand the promises they make when they make them." I like this quote because there are a lot of promises that I broke. Others have also broke promises made to me. When I broke a promise I didn't intensionally mean to break that promises. This isn't the case for some people. Some people break promises based on their own personal issues. At the time no one ever thinks about the other person and how they are affected. For example when Isacc's girlfriend Monica left him. There promise was that they would always love each other. When Monica left Isacc she broke this promise. I broke a promise by promising someone that I would never hurt them. When I made this promise I wasn't necessarily thinking about the possible outcomes of breaking this promise. Promises are thoughtless sayings that have side effects. Side effects not cause by the promise being broken but, rather knowing a person special broke it. Isacc isn't hurt by the broken promise, but he is hurt because Monica broke it. I don't personally think that Monica meant to break this promise. I believe that she became overwhelmed with Isacc's condition and figured she couldn't take anymore. I don't blame her for her decision, but she could have at least gave Isacc an explanation. Some broken promises can be explained and understood. I believe that it is inconsiderate to not be concerned about others feeligs,.

  9. A line in chapter four that I really like is "love is keeping the promise anyway." This quote means that when you say "I love you", your making a promise to that person. Your promising that person something very big. The word love is a very strong word, it shouldn't be tossed around like garbage. People take it very seriously. In the novel Issaac talks about love and how its a promise. His girlfriend or I should say ex-girlfriend said she loved him then broke up with him. She broke her promise to him when he was going through a very rough time.
"Don't You believe in true love?" Is a another line in chapter four I liked. When somebody ask this question you really start thinking. You ask yourself "Do I really believe in love?" You think you believe in true love but you second guess If Your you're love ever broke your heart. It happens to everyone it mostly everyone. I ask myself if I believed in love before, I never answered my question. I believe in it but then again I don't. Love is complicated an I don't think I really know what love is.
The last line i liked from chapter four is "Thats the thing about pain........ it demands to be felt." Personally this is a quote that doesn't have a final meaning. It can be explained in so many ways. I think it means that you won't get over pain until you really feel it. I think everybody can relate to these three quotes because everybody feels pain and has to deal with love. We all handle them in different ways. I wonder how Augustus and Hazel deal with love and pain.

  10. The quote I chose for my chapter for journal is "Sometimes people don't understand the promises they make when they make them." I find this quote moving because its saying that when you make a promise, it is meant to be kept. You shouldn't make a promise to anyone if you do not intend on keeping it. Making a promise is a pretty big deal because its like telling someone a secret. If you promise to keep that secret, that means you tell no one. If you know you cannot keep a secret, you shouldn't have let them tell you anyways. Even if you and the person is no longer friends/talking/close, you shouldn't tell what they told you because you made a promise that you would never tell, despite what may be going on between you two. Promises are a matter of trust. I believe people make promises just to make them, not seeing that down the line you would always have to keep that promise. Some people take these things seriously and if they make a promise, that's what they meant, while others just say it to satisfy you at the moment. hen you break a promise, you have to consider the person's feeling that you made the promise to, because it could have very well broke their heart as much as it could have for you to break the promise. I think this quote stood out to me because it has been times where people broke promises to me and where I have broke promises before. I think even if the promise is over something small, You shouldn't break it because you never know how the other person felt or how serious they could have token that promise when it was made. I believe when someone makes a promise, you should stick to it, despite what else is going on around you to make you feel that you need to break it.
